CATALYST (2009-2010 Del Rey Books) and CATACOMBS (2010-2011 Dec Del Rey Books available in print, e-book and audio book formats), the Tales of the Barque Cats, are her most recent books with Ms. McCaffrey. She’s written 24 solo novels, over 50 short stories (many about cats) and has edited 4 short story anthologies.
Her most recent novel is THE TOUR BUS OF DOOM, set in a town suspiciously like Port Townsend, WA. The third story featuring the heroic Spam the cat, THE TOUR BUS OF DOOM is a tour de farce on the current zombie craze. The first book in the series, SPAM VS THE VAMPIRE, pitted the intrepid feline hero against his cat-mom’s misguided romance with a vampire. Bridging the books is a Christmas novelette, FATHER CHRISTMAS. It is available at online retailers as a print-on-demand book and online as an e-book from all of the large outlets. Recently she has teamed up with artist Karen Gillmore to produce another Spam story, SPAM AND THE SASQUATCH, as a comic.

Her current project is a new book set in the SONGS FROM THE SEASHELL ARCHIVES milieu, but is going forward in time to the steampunk era of Argonia, which is a bit different from Victorian London. The book is partially supported by a successful Kickstarter campaign.

Scarborough is best known for her versatility in subject matter and her humorous writing style. A former army nurse and RN, she is also a well-known bead artist and pattern designer and is the full time employee of two black cats, Cisco and Pancho, technical consultants for her last three books.
